Clearly the most favourable foraging situation for a honey bee is to mow on a diverse landscape with floral abundance.

Non-native and native plants help benefit honey bee immunity. Studies suggest wildflowers are preferential over crops - our female generalist foragers love complex landscapes and get more nutrients from wildflowers than crop flowers. 

A diet rich in macronutrients (protein, carbohydrate, lipid, etc) and micronutrients (amino acids, vitamin, minerals, etc) help foragers remember where they are going, what to look for, how to get home and how to kick ass inside and outside the hive.
